Andee Markus
owner & operator
Andee Markus is the owner and operator of Bokeh & Birch photobooth co, bringing a lifelong connection to the wedding industry into every experience she creates. Her journey began early—quite literally—having grown up alongside her mother in floral shops, where she was immersed in the world of weddings, design, and celebration from the very beginning.
With a BFA in Photography, Andee has spent years behind the camera, honing her eye for composition, lighting, and thoughtful detail. Before founding Bokeh & Birch, she worked with established studios and photo booth companies, gaining hands-on experience that shaped her approach to elevated, design-forward photo booth experiences.
Her passion lies in creating moments that feel intentional, beautifully styled, and genuinely fun—experiences that feel just as considered as the rest of a thoughtfully designed event.
Chris Markus
Co-Owner & Booth Designer
Chris Markus is the co-owner of Bokeh & Birch photobooth co and the steady force behind much of what keeps the business running smoothly. By day, he works as an entrepreneur and small business consultant, bringing a strategic, thoughtful approach to operations and long-term growth.
Woodworking has always been a passion for Chris. He grew up learning the craft alongside his father, building and installing custom cabinetry—a foundation that continues to influence the quality and care behind Bokeh & Birch’s handcrafted wooden photo booths.
Kaity Shaffer
Photo Booth Concierge & Operations Support
Kaity is the right hand behind Bokeh & Birch photobooth co—the person Andee can count on no matter what the moment calls for. Whether she’s supporting event-day logistics, stepping in to assist behind the scenes, or lending a hand so things keep moving smoothly, Kaity brings reliability, warmth, and a can-do spirit to every part of the business.
With over five years of photo booth experience, Kaity thrives in lively, high-energy environments. She has a natural ability to engage guests, encourage participation, and create an atmosphere where everyone feels comfortable letting loose in front of the camera. You’ll often find her cheering guests on, occasionally joining them on the dance floor, and ensuring the photo booth is buzzing with energy all night long.
And yes—Kaity is Andee’s sister. Bokeh & Birch is truly a family-run business, and that sense of care, trust, and connection shows in everything we do.
Ava James
Chief Morale Officer
No family business would be complete without welcoming the next generation, and Ava James proudly fills that role at Bokeh & Birch photobooth co. As our resident work-from-home toddler, Ava brings joy, laughter, and a healthy reminder to pause and enjoy the moment.
She’s our favorite photo booth model and loves having her picture taken—most days. Ava takes her role seriously, assisting Mommy and Daddy from the sidelines while keeping spirits high and creativity flowing.
While she’s an enthusiastic helper, she does occasionally slow things down. If there’s ever a slight delay in response, chances are we’re busy entertaining our tiniest team member and will be back in touch during her next nap.
